Dr Karolia qualified as a medical doctor in 1984 from The University of Witwatersrand. Dr Karolia is a family and Medical Director of two practices. He specialises in Integrative Medicine, diabetes, Restorative Medicine (Aesthetics), weight loss and general medical practice.

Dr Karolia has completed a course in the management of diabetes with the Centre of Diabetes and Endocrinology, with distinction. He was awarded a diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (Cum Laude) by the Foundation for Professional Development. He is also a member of The South African Society of Integrative Medicine (SAISM) and has additionally studied Applied Functional Medicine at The Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM).

Dr Karolia has also completed numerous other courses such as: nutri-genomics, intravenous nutritional treatments, Ozone and Prolozone Therapy by Dr Frank Shallenberger in The USA and continues to add to his current profile.

Dr Karolia believes in the wellness model of medicines which aims to improve the wellness of his patients with lifestyle modification, stress management, exercise and dietary adjustment. Dr Karolia has developed a reputation for being compassionate and considerate making his patients feel comfortable during their consultation.
